Service Refund & Cancellation Policy
Appointment Cancellations
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a service appointment. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments ("no-shows"), may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover shop time reserved for your vehicle.
Diagnostic Fees
Diagnostic and inspection fees cover the technician's time and equipment use and are non-refundable once the diagnostic work has been performed, regardless of whether you choose to proceed with the recommended repair.
Completed Services
Because labor is a service, not a physical good, completed repair and calibration work is non-refundable once performed. If you believe a repair was not completed correctly or to the agreed specification, contact us within 30 days of service completion so we can inspect the vehicle and make it right under our workmanship guarantee (see below).
Deposits
Deposits collected for parts orders, custom builds, or scheduled ADAS calibration slots are refundable up to 48 hours before the scheduled service date. Deposits are non-refundable within 48 hours of the appointment, as parts may already be ordered or shop time already reserved.
Cancelled or Unfinished Work
If you cancel a repair mid-process, you will be billed for labor performed and any non-returnable parts already installed or ordered up to that point. Any remaining balance on a deposit will be refunded.
Workmanship Guarantee
We stand behind our labor. If a repair fails due to workmanship error within the warranty period stated on your invoice, we will correct it at no additional labor charge. This guarantee does not cover pre-existing conditions, unrelated failures, or damage caused by improper use after service.
PARTS RETURN
Unused, uninstalled parts in original condition may be returned within 14 days of purchase for a refund or store credit, minus any manufacturer restocking fee.
Special-order parts, electrical components, and ADAS/sensor hardware are non-returnable once opened or installed, due to safety calibration and liability requirements.
Parts covered by a manufacturer's warranty are handled according to that manufacturer's warranty terms; we're happy to help
facilitate a manufacturer warranty claim.
Warranty on Parts & Labor
Specific warranty terms (duration and coverage) will be noted on your service invoice at the time of repair. Warranty coverage may vary by part manufacturer and service type, particularly for ADAS calibration, which is subject to the vehicle manufacturer's calibration specifications.
Limitation of Liability
Lux Auto Studio performs repairs and calibrations to manufacturer specifications using industry-standard equipment. While we take every precaution to ensure accuracy — particularly with ADAS calibration, which is safety-critical — Lux Auto Studio is not liable for damages arising from manufacturer defects, pre-existing vehicle conditions, or driver error following service. Vehicle owners are responsible for verifying that all safety systems are functioning as expected before regular use following any ADAS-related service.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from services rendered will be resolved in the applicable courts of Los Angeles County, California.
